This advanced course covers all
aspects of designing and running OpenControl applications
on a variety of PC-based control hardware. The purpose of
this course is to provide students with a basic
understanding of the tools available, and design methods
used, when developing OpenControl. The students will also
be taught methods of utilizing Paragon HMI software
screens to create HMI screens. Profibus communications
between OpenControl and hardware I/O and other OpenControl
PCs will also be covered. At the conclusion of this
course, the student should be able to create flowcharts
and HMI screens to automate machinery, understand the
connection to hardware via Profibus, Import and Export
OpenControl projects, Troubleshoot OpenControl Charts and
Paragon screens. This class is specified for General
Motors Power Train Group. Four (4) days for $1,500.
